"One day my father asked if I wanted to start cycling and I immediately fell in love with it. To be honest, I have never thought about any other profession than being a cyclist. I knew from a young age that I would become a professional," Mihkels confirmed.
Advice for young people? "Enjoy what you do. Be happy and enjoy the hard training," replied Mihkels, who will make his first start of the season at the Etoile de Besseges cycling tour in France in early February.
