Mihkelsi tiimikaaslane läbis ühe päevaga üle 600 km ja püstitas rekordi

Mihkels' teammate covered over 600 km in one day and set a record

Lachlan Morton, who is part of the EF Education - EasyPost team with Madis Mihkels, broke the record for the Auckland to Wellington ride. The long-distance cyclist covered the 648 km distance in 18 hours and 28 minutes. The previous record, set more than 40 years ago, was 1 hour and 32 minutes slower.

"It wasn't just about setting a record, it was about capturing a legend. The goal was to make the past the present," said the 33-year-old Australian. "For me, records like this are fascinating. A pure test to see how far and fast we can cycle in one day."

This isn't the first time Morton has broken the endurance record. Last year, he completed a lap of Australia in 30 days, 9 hours and 59 minutes. The previous record was 37 days, 20 hours and 45 minutes, set in 2011.
