Cycling fans will surely remember the Capri-Sonne team that rode Eddy Merckx bikes in 1982. Now, the well-known juice drink manufacturer and the Belgian bike brand have joined forces again, this time for a special charity initiative: Capri-Sun Pévèle. The proceeds from the campaign will go to the international non-profit organization War Child, which supports children affected by war. Pre-orders for the bikes have started and Bike Fanatics is the representative of Eddy Merckx bikes in Estonia.
War Child is an international organization that helps children affected by war through education, protection, and psychological support in regions such as Ukraine, the Middle East, and Western Europe.
The Capri-Sun x Eddy Merckx Pévèle C is a versatile road and gravel bike designed for premium performance on both asphalt and gravel. The bike is equipped with modern technology, with a carbon frame, Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting and carbon wheels. Its geometry allows for a smooth transition between different terrains. With tire clearance up to 38 mm, the bike is as flexible as it is stylish.
The limited edition bikes are made in Belgium and feature a design inspired by the iconic Capri-Sun colours. Priced at €5,575, the bike is available to order until the end of September via the official Eddy Merckx website. In addition to the bike, Le Coffee Ride is also launching a new Capri-Sun cycling jersey based on the Capri-Sonne team uniforms from the 1980s.
