After Søren Wærenskjold (Uno-X Mobility) secured a surprise victory in the sprint finish of the one-day race Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in Belgium, the reputable portal Cyclingnews analyzed the 24-year-old Norwegian's Ridley Noah Fast bike.
The Ridley Noah Fast is the flagship racing bike from the Belgian bike manufacturer, which underwent a thorough update at the beginning of this year, aiming to improve its aerodynamic properties in particular.
Wærenskjold's bike is equipped with Shimano Dura-Ace brakes and gears, and DT Swiss wheels. Additionally, the bike features a waxed chain and a 55-tooth chainring, a two-piece handlebar and stem combination that has been raised with spacers. This is in contrast to the usual low handlebar position.
The Noah Fast has a new patented frame set where the handlebars sit in a recess within the frame. Wærenskjold used a Deda Powerbox stem and Superzero handlebars, with the brake hoses integrated into the stem. Using a standard handlebar allowed for the use of the usual K-Force computer mount around the handlebars.
