Estonian riders Madis Mihkels (EF Education-EasyPost) and Romet Pajur (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe Rookies) participated in the Tour de France Criterium in Singapore.
Although Pajur officially belongs to the Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe development team, he was given the opportunity to compete with the main squad. His teammates included, among others, four-time Vuelta and one-time Giro d'Italia winner Primož Roglič.
First place went to Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), who finished ahead of Biniam Girmay (Intermarché-Wanty) and Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin-Deceuninck). Pajur took 17th and Mihkels 21st place, with both Estonians finishing 17 seconds behind the winner.
Mihkels is under contract with EF Education-EasyPost until 2026, while Pajur will remain part of the Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe Rookies next season, though he will likely get further opportunities to compete with the main team.
