Madis Mihkels was disappointed with his 14th place result at Paris-Roubaix - despite being the best for his home team.
"I'm disappointed with the result, but very happy with my legs. I'll be back next year. Paris-Roubaix is my favorite race," said Mihkels, who suffered a flat tire in the Arenberg forests.
EF Education - EasyPost's experienced rider Kasper Asgreen was impressed by the performance of the younger team. In the pre-start meeting, he urged all his teammates to finish at the Roubaix velodrome at all costs.
EF Education-EasyPost Sports Director Andreas Klier: "This year's Paris-Roubaix was very fast. We started well and the riders were in good positions, but then we started to have different problems. At the end of the day, each of our riders had their own story to tell."
The cobblestone classics season is over for this season - EF Education-Easy Post's best achievements were Neilson Powless' victory at Dwaars door Vlaanderen and Mihkels' 3rd place at Brugge de Panne.
