Norwegian top team Uno-X Mobility, riding Ridley Noah Fast bikes, secured their first win of the season at the Tour of Oman as Erlend Blikra proved fastest in the bunch sprint of stage 4. The 29-year-old Norwegian was followed by Emmanuel Houcou (Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team) and Juan Sebastian Molano (UAE Team Emirates - XRG). Madis Mihkels (EF Education - EasyPost) had to settle for 11th place.
Blikra navigated the final kilometer independently and launched his sprint about 250 meters before the finish. The tactic paid off, and the victory was relatively decisive.
In the overall standings of the Tour of Oman, XDS Astana Team achieved a one-two finish, with Christian Scaroni taking the top spot ahead of Cristian Rodríguez and Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates - XRG).
This is how it feels to win your biggest race in FOUR years! 😍
